As the world shifts toward sustainability, there's a unique opportunity to improve how these critical materials are sourced and delivered.
In partnership with BCG Digital Ventures’ startup incubator, we were tasked with defining a more efficient and user-friendly marine chartering tool, focusing on both the underlying concept and the end-to-end experience for Rio Tinto’s chartering team.
The result was a smart marine chartering platform concept designed to give charterers and managers clear, actionable visibility into market conditions — enabling faster, more informed freight-fixing decisions. Following a successful pitch to Rio Tinto’s board, a 15-person startup was launched and secured Series A funding to bring the product to market.
